“A sleuth in Diet Wars” is a cozy mystery novel that mixes old family secrets and current nutrition science’ flaws. Don’t miss the bizarre Andalusian clash between a sugar addict and nutrition influencers!
A highly entertaining work that blends humor and reflection, with the theme of self-acceptance at its core. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The narrative is fast-paced and engaging, keeping me hooked on the plot from start to finish. I was pleasantly surprised by the author’s knowledge of the Parador—the room numbers, the lounges, the surrounding villages… The setting at the Parador de Jaén adds a touch of charm and authenticity to the story. The protagonist, Natalia, is an endearing character who is easy to relate to, and the ending leaves you with a lovely feeling.

Natalia is a frustrated, full-figured novelist (and renowned reporter specializing in culture and entertainment) who volunteers to cover a nutrition conference at the grand Parador de Jaén, where she plans to soak up inspiration to write a novel about the life of her maternal grandfather, Natalio. The hopeful writer wants to seize the opportunity to leave behind in Barcelona the painful trail of her frustrations and explore the Andalusian countryside that her protagonist so loved. But the meddling granddaughter’s plans go completely off the rails when she crashes headfirst into the bizarre and extremely dangerous world of celebrity nutritionists.
